Guides are for learning
Our guides explain how repairs are done. They are general information, not instructions made for your exact car. Cars vary by year, engine, and trim, and a step that fits one truck may not fit another. Always check the specs for your own vehicle before you start.
You work at your own risk
Car work can hurt you if it goes wrong. Use jack stands, wear eye protection, and stop if a job feels beyond you. We are not responsible for damage or injury that comes from work you choose to do. When a guide says a job belongs in a shop, that advice is part of the guide.
Prices and specs can change
Part prices, shop rates, and even maker specs change over time. We work to keep guides current and mark each one with the date it was last updated, but we cannot promise every number is exact on the day you read it.
