About Fix Your Car Guide
Fix Your Car Guide exists for one reason: most car repair help is written for mechanics, not for the person holding the wrench in their own driveway. Our guides use plain words, short steps, and the real numbers for your vehicle, like torque specs, oil capacity, and part numbers.
We started with the Ford F-150 from 2015 to 2020 because it is the most common vehicle on US roads. One truck, done right, before we spread out. Each guide covers what the problem is, how to check it, how to fix it, and what it should cost if you would rather pay a shop.
Safety is part of every guide, not fine print. If a job needs jack stands, we say so up front. If a job is one most people should hand to a shop, we say that too, and we show you how to check the quote instead.
The site is free to read and is supported by ads and by affiliate links on parts and tools, explained on our affiliate disclosure page. Want a guide on a topic we have not covered yet? Write to us at hello@fixyourcarguide.com or use the contact page.
